Horrible MLS Photo Of The Day #225

October 15th, 2008

This one suffers from a lack of a central focus that makes any sense. It would be better from more of an angle to take in more of the room and give it depth. I’ve been in this unit; it’s huge. This picture doesn’t do it justice. The couch or whatever in the lower right is also in the way.

Horrible MLS Photo Of The Day #219

This REALTOR® did a decent job of capturing the whole room – good work! However, the composition is a little weird. It appears to be crooked, and getting that picture frame and light fixture in the shot is really distracting. I would also recommend that this type of picture be taken at an angle to give the room some depth.

Horrible MLS Photo Of The Day #196

There had to be a better way to shoot this room. First, we can tell it’s at night. And cutting off the dining room table and light has made this room look very cluttered and cramped. A different angle and shooting the home in the daytime would have helped.

This is wrong on a couple of levels. We’re not going to pick on the client’s decor ideas, don’t worry! But shooting a wall or room at a right angle to it takes away our depth perception. Always shoot at an angle. Also this is too tight of a shot; we’re missing half the room. Oh, and there’s the REALTOR®’s head with the flash of the camera in the mirror!

Horrible MLS Photo Of The Day #189

Labyrinth?

Labyrinth?

Overall, this photo falls victim to poor composition. It’s just not a good angle to show viewers the kitchen. That black object in the foreground distracts the eye and the differing directions of the counter-tops is also distracting.
