Big Sky Country?

Big Sky Country?

Another member of the single-listing-photo club. I can tell as a buyer that this place has a really nice roofline, but what are you trying to hide by not showing me the rest of the house?!

Horrible MLS Photo Of The Day #290

This awkward shot violates one of my main no-nos in real estate photography, and that is to never shoot a bathroom without a wide angle lens. They’re just not big enough to capture anything useful with a regular lens.  Here the REALTOR® has tried to use the mirror to capture more of the room, but in trying to keep him or herself out of the picture (bonus points for that!) it ends up looking really awkward.

Horrible MLS Photo Of The Day #289

This appears to be a foundation of a building under construction. One could question the utility of putting a picture of it up at all, but this one is even worse with all the blur and pixelation.

This could have been a decent photo, but unfortunately it captures too much of the ceiling and leaves the buyer wondering what the kitchen looks like. Always remember to review your photos before leaving the house so you don’t have to upload ones like this. Buyers expect more.

It's Clutterific!

It's Clutterific!

Wow. As I always say, it’s not my place to poke fun at the state of people’s homes on the Internet. However, I do believe that as a REALTOR®, it’s my job to let a client know when they need to tidy up the kitchen, and I won’t take pictures until it’s done. Other than that, one could argue that the better spot to shoot this kitchen would have been from the doors on the left of the photo.

Deja Vu?

Deja Vu?

Yesterday’s photo looked almost exactly like this! Perhaps close-up shots of towels and their reflection in a mirror is some sort of consumer trend that I’m not aware of. For the same reasons as yesterday, this photo is equally horrible.

So basically, the only interesting parts of this photo are those towels and that picture on the wall, none of which will likely be included with the home. If not for the mirror and towels, one might have trouble telling that this was a bathroom. Always use a wide angle lens for bathroom shots, or just avoid them, unless it’s a huge spa-like cavernous room.

Horrible MLS Photo Of The Day #283

December 12th, 2008

12122008There really isn’t a whole lot to say about this one. It’s plain to see that this is a blurry, fuzzy image of some kind of room and its light fixture missing a globe.

Just under the wire on this one!

Laundry rooms never ever look good, and this ugly old stacker does nothing to show off this place’s potential in the sea of other condominium listings on the market today. At the very least, shoot it vertically and try and show some context too, but I would recommend you just leave it out altogether.

Horrible MLS Photo Of The Day #281

This is just weird. Crooked, out of context, and it appears that this was a vertical (portrait) oriented shot that has been stretched to fit a horizontal (landscape) format.
