*****The 23rd annual Sooke Rotary Club Spring Auction and Fair will be held on May 4, 2013 at SEAPARC Leisure Complex in Sooke.

In October of 2012 we celebrated our 25th anniversary as a Rotary Club! Over those 25 years, with your help, we have made great contributions to Sooke including the Skateboard Park, theRotary Pier, the Sooke Area Sign, the playground shelter at CASA, the gazebo and garden safety improvements at Ayre Manor and we financed the purchase of a Community Youth bus. We have also supported the Sooke Youth Council and provided many scholarships and bursaries to Sooke students over the years.

The Auction and Spring Fair has grown into a full day of community activity, including an opportunity for local businesses and organizations to showcase their products and services. We see approximately 2000 people come to the event each year.

We once again ask for your support. Please consider buying a booth or donating a product or service to the auction in order allow us to continue to serve our community.

Thank you for your continued support and we look forward to seeing you on May 4!

We’re lucky to have such a great group of dedicated Rotarians here in Sooke – I know several of them personally and I admire their commitment to our community.

I hope you have time to get down and check out the event this weekend – and come check out my open house at 2407 Poplar in Sun River Estates after!
